What this website does and does not do

This website loads no external fonts, scripts, maps, videos or media. Everything is delivered from our own server. There is no advertising network, no analytics service and no tracking pixel, and no data is passed to third parties for those purposes. We also use no captcha service such as reCAPTCHA.

Server log files and reach measurement

When you open a page, the web server records the request. We additionally keep an anonymous reach measurement of our own: the page called, the date, and a shortened, non-reversible fingerprint of the request. This is used solely to see which pages are used and does not allow us to identify you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a functioning, secure website).

Membership form

If you use the membership form, we process the details you enter — name, phone number, country, email address and your message — in order to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns a prospective membership. We keep the enquiry as long as needed to deal with it and to meet statutory retention periods.

To fend off automated abuse, the form uses a hidden field, a signed timestamp created by our own server, and a limit on submissions per connection. If a submission is classified as abusive, it is stored in an internal log so that a wrong classification can be corrected, and the IP address may be added to a block list. No external service is involved in any of this. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in defending against spam and attacks).

Session cookie

A technically necessary session cookie protects the form against cross-site request forgery. It contains no personal data and expires when you close the browser. No consent is required for it under section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG 2021).

The member area links to Interval World, and the residences page links to TripAdvisor. As soon as you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that provider applies. We have no influence on the data processed there.

Please note that The Luxury Travel Club Ltd., Belize Marina Towers, Suite 508, Belize City, Belize, is a separate company outside the European Union. Membership contracts are concluded with that company; data you send to it directly is outside the scope of this policy.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), and the right to withdraw a consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.
